Let’s be honest: Spending quality time with the Lord in prayer and his Word on a daily basis is not easy. The cares of life pull at us from all directions. We are far too often like Martha, who gave into anxiety in Luke 10:38-42, than we are Mary, who simply sat at Jesus’ feet and soaked in the Lord’s presence. We need God’s help to faithfully and humbly approach his throne for the daily grace we require.
On top of that, if you have kids, there’s the added challenge of teaching them the value of quiet times. But take heart, parents: By the power of God’s Spirit, success is possible! So today on The Tyndale blog, I shared seven keys to success in leading your child in devotions. You can read my blog post here. I hope it encourages you!
